Ravel Morrison was once the golden boy in Manchester United's famous academy and was heralded as the next big thing to come through at Old Trafford.

He, alongside some other stars who have successfully made it at club and international level, were poised to become the next wave of players for England, that could possibly turn around our fortunes after years of disappointment.

But Morrison's attitude has let him down and after a move from West Ham to Lazio in Italy, he's looking to get back into the Championship and training with QPR.

The Hoops have been on the up since the appointment of Ian Holloway and the former Blackpool boss has done wonders in a very short space of time to ensure things look a lot brighter in West London.

But with more needing to be done to ensure the Hoops' survival, signing Ravel Morrison could be the answer everyone at the club has been looking for.

So, with that in mind, here's 3 reasons why the former Manchester United starlet could save QPR's season...

The talent is clearly there

There are plenty of examples of Morrison's talent but arguably his best stint in football was the time he spent on loan at St Andrews with Birmingham City.

He featured 27 times for the Blues in the 2012/13 season and was in the team most weeks, taking the ball around players and helping his team score goals.

Then when he returned to West Ham, he scored a famous goal against Tottenham where he dribbled from his own half, around several players and lifted the ball into the net.

If you search his name in google, you will find some outrageous and cheeky goals he scored in training for England under-21s.

A permanent run in a first team would do his confidence the world of good and that's what he needs, should he move to QPR.

High praise early in his career

There's always a reason why some of the biggest names in football tip you for stardom and that's no different for Ravel Morrison.

Fergie, Rio Ferdinand and a whole host of United first team playres thought he was going to be the next big thing on the Old Trafford pitch but his behaviour let him down.

But praise like that doesn't come around often and there's certainly a reason why there was such high hope for the youngster.

If he gets a shot under a manager that really believes in him, there's absolutely no reason why he can't rediscover that form once again.

Holloway can keep him in check

Morrison has played under some fantastic managers in his rather underwhelming career so far but Ian Holloway is a different breed of leader at this level.

He takes no-nonsense, no excuses and if Morrison is offered a deal, he'll know where the line is and what will happen if he crosses it.

This tough-love approach, at this level in Morrison's career is the only thing that could save him from certain failure and for QPR, this is something that could really pay off and save their season.
