Swansea City are once again preparing for a new season with a new man in charge, with Graham Potter having departed for Brighton.

New manager Steve Cooper will be hoping to get off to a fine start as Swans manager as he looks to guide them towards the play-off places this season following last year's rather disappointing campaign which saw the Welsh side come up well short in the end.

Swansea have seen the big money sale of Daniel James this summer, and that loss will no doubt be felt within the first-team as they look to replace a player who finished the season so well.

This weekend then has seen the club linked with two Chelsea players in the form of midfielder Kasey Palmer, and England under-21 defender, Jake Clarke-Salter.

Both players will be keen to get some first-team experience under their belt, and while Palmer has enjoyed spells away from the Blues already, he knows he isn't going to get the minutes he wants under Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.

With that thought in mind then, we at FLW took a look at THREE reasons why we think Swansea could be the perfect club for both players...

New management, new start

It's no secret that new managers like to put their own stamp on proceedings when they move to another club, and you can only think that Cooper has identified the likes of Palmer and Clarke-Salter himself.

Both players would no doubt go straight into the first-team with the Swans, and if Cooper is the one who has picked them out, you can guarantee they will be given the chance to shine at the Liberty.

History of developing youth

It's not just recently with Dan James we have seen Swansea give young players a chance, and while Ollie McBurnie also falls into that category in the current squad, the Swans have a rich history of harnessing young talent.

Joe Allen progressed through the ranks there, while Chelsea will have decent enough memories of sending Tammy Abraham for a loan spell in Swansea too. If Chelsea want their players to get good coaching and game time, then Swansea have a track record of being able to provide that.

Chance to make a real impact

In Palmer's case in particular, this could be a chance for him to make a real impact in the game following mixed spells with the likes of Huddersfield and Derby County previously.

He is a player who seems to have it all in the locker, he just needs the platform to showcase that talent.

Swansea can provide him with that platform, and if the team is centred around him and his strengths, then there is every chance they could find themselves firmly among the top six chasing clubs throughout the campaign.
