Newcastle United’s imminent return to the Premier League could take a step closer this weekend, as Rafa Benitez’s side host struggling Wigan Athletic at St James’ Park.
Its a game that few are giving the Latics even a hope of winning and on paper, it’s easy to see why people are so doubtful that interim manager Graham Barrow can pull off the impossible and bring three points back to Lancashire.
The Magpies need to ensure that they are winning as many games as possible between now and the end of the season if they are to really keep pace with Brighton at the top of the table, with the Seagulls looking extremely good going forward.
