Leeds United will be looking to bounce back as much as possible in the coming weeks after suffering a significant setback against Norwich at the weekend.

The Yellows have been keeping the Whites honest all season it seems and on Saturday night they were by far the better team as they outclassed the hosts at Elland Road.

Questions, then, will be asked of Leeds as they look to recover but there's no need to start tearing into them - unlike Tony Cascarino has.

The footballer turned pundit has had this to say in his Times column after the defeat by Norwich...

“I like the way that Marcelo Bielsa plays but if Leeds United are promoted to the Premier League they are going to be like Fulham this year — they would be ripped to pieces.”

For sure, they'd need to improve on their weekend performance but, on the whole, they've done well this season and so here we're looking at three reasons why Leeds fans shouldn't worry about Cascarino's comments...

Overall performances this season

Writing a team off after one game seems the go-to choice these days but you need to look at Leeds as a whole this season.

They play great football but they've been tough defensively, too. Many maintain they are the best in the league and so who's to say they'd actually get battered every week if they went up?

Bielsa's experience

Bielsa doesn't know the Premier League but he knows a lot more about top flight football than most.

He'll have to adapt, but he'll have all the info he needs to do so, and Fulham under Jokanovic simply didn't have the same level of experience.

Improved transfer approach

The main reason Fulham have fallen apart this season is not the way they play, but the way they recruited in the summer with a scattergun approach.

Leeds have shown they are methodical in going after signings - and you get the impression they'd make a better fist of things in the summer than Fulham did.
