Leeds United fans have been through a lot over the last few years.

Once a great superpower of English football, the Whites have fallen from grace dramatically, and have been languishing in England's second tier for some time now.

Matters have been made worse by trigger happy owner Massimo Cellino's will to sack a manager within months of giving them the role, and player development has been stunted by the constant chopping and changing of managers and tactics.

Attendances have also fallen along with success levels, with fans choosing to vote with their feet when it comes to expressing their anger as to how their club is being run.

All these factors have contributed to a toxic atmosphere around the club, but after new manager Garry Monk has come in, things are looking bright, and Leeds seem to be on their way up.

Here are THREE reasons why Leeds United are Premier League bound......

Stability

The 'S' word has been out of the question for Leeds fans since controversial Italian owner Massimo Cellino took over ownership of the Yorkshire club.

The figures for the number of managers sacked by the Italian make for shocking reading, but it finally looks like some much needed stability could be finally coming to Elland Road.

Garry Monk has shown signs he could be the perfect manager to bring Leeds back to the top. It only took 7 attempts...

Talented crop of youth

Garry Monk has been blessed with a group of extremely talented young players at Leeds United.

Young midfield dynamo Alex Mowatt will be key next season and he could be partnered by 20-year -old Kalvin Phillips who recently signed a new deal.

Lewie Coyle and Charlie Taylor are two to watch at the back.

If Monk can develop these youngsters even further then he will have an outstanding squad on his hands.

Solid foundations

This Leeds team is built on solid foundations in several ways.

Whilst Cellino can be and is criticised for several things, one thing he can't be accused of is not investing in the club, and you can be sure Monk will be given financial backing to get Leeds back to top level.

On another level, there is a great mix of established players in around the youngsters, and Sol Bamba and Chris Wood are just some of the names who can help guide this team back to the Premier League.
