Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds side have made an impressive start to the season, and they will be keen to justify their promotion credentials ahead of a busy festive period.

The Whites are currently 3rd in the Championship table and are just three points adrift of Norwich City, who currently occupy top spot.

But with a growing injury list, Marcelo Bielsa will be concerned about the lack of depth in his side with a potentially season-defining Christmas period edging ever-closer.

Their promotion rivals, Derby County, have seemingly been making movements to bringing in another Chelsea loanee as they look to cement their place in the top six.

Midfielder, Lucas Piazon is the latest player to be linked to Frank Lampard's side according to Yahoo Sports, but should Leeds be targeting a deal for the Chelsea outcast?

We look at 3 reasons why Marcelo Bielsa should be chasing a deal for the attacking-midfielder.

Find out those reasons here....

The Brazilian has been loaned out to Championship clubs on numerous occasions so he is certainly proven at this level.

Piazon has been on loan at both Reading and Fulham and will be keen to replicate the type of form he had shown for Fulham last season when he helped them gain promotion to the Premier League.

With the amount of injuries that Marcelo Bielsa is having to deal with in recent weeks, he will almost certainly be dipping into the transfer market in search of players to add to his squad.

Piazon would add some much-needed depth to the Leeds squad and his versatility will come in handy with the Brazilian being able to play anywhere in the attacking three behind the striker.

Piazon is proven at Championship level, and would be an excellent addition for the promotion hopefuls.

He would be a more than worthy addition to Leeds and would challenge the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison for a starting spot in Marcelo Bielsa's side.

If he can put his injury worries behind him, then he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw for Leeds' promotion bid this season.
