West Brom boss Darren Moore has issued a surprising verdict about the future of youngster Oliver Burke, who looks set for a move away from The Hawthorns in January.

In quotes via the Express & Star, Moore revealed that he is considering letting Burke leave on loan when the transfer window reopens.

"I’m looking at both aspects," said Moore, when asked if Burke could leave temporarily. "I want him to be ready for us of course, but we’ll have a look at it."

Burke is yet to make a start for the Baggies in their league campaign this season and if he was to leave on loan, then Burke would certainly be eager to prove a point after a lack of game time this season with Darren Moore's side.

But could Leeds benefit from bringing the youngster in on loan in January?

We look at three reasons why they should be eyeing a deal for Burke here....

Burke is only 21-years-old and is one of the brightest prospects in the country right now, and it's certainly surprising to see him not featuring in the first-team this season.

He has huge amounts of potential and if he was to recapture the form shown at RB Leipzig, then he could potentially be the difference in gaining promotion for Leeds this season.

It's no secret that Leeds have a growing injury list this season, so Marcelo Bielsa is likely to want to add some much-needed depth to his squad in January.

It would add some attacking firepower to Bielsa's squad at Elland Road and his raw talent could thrive under the coaching of Marcelo Bielsa.

Despite being such a young age, Burke does have experience of playing in the Championship, having made 31 appearances in total for Nottingham Forest across a three-year-spell with the Reds.

So Burke wouldn't be a risky signing by any stretch.

He could certainly challenge the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski for a starting spot in Marcelo Bielsa's squad and could be a key figure in their promotion charge this season.
