Marcelo Bielsa has Leeds United well in the Championship’s promotion race, with the Whites looking to end an exile from the Premier League that stretches back to 2004.

Leeds are in a good position right now, but there’s no denying that their injury list is a problem, and whilst Bielsa’s decision to trim his squad hasn’t hurt Leeds too much yet, it could backfire later in the season.

Whilst January additions could be made, one man who will be on the way out of Elland Road is Pawel Cibicki.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds will offload Cibicki again following his return from a loan spell at Molde, who he scored three goals for in 13 appearances.

The 24-year-old’s last appearance for Leeds came almost 12 months ago and it looks like another chance will never present itself for the forward.

Whilst some will disagree with the decision, it seems like the logical one after a difficult period adapting to English football.

Here at look at THREE reasons why Leeds are making the right call with Cibicki…

Under previous regimes it hasn’t been the head-coach making the decisions at Elland Road.

However, what Bielsa says goes at Leeds and if he doesn’t want Cibicki on board, he will go.

It’s the way a club should be run.

Whilst Leeds’ numbers are stretched in defence, they do have some really good attacking options.

The likes of Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford are returning in the New Year to add to an exciting attack.

There’s no room for a player like Cibicki.

Leeds also have some great young attackers pushing for a first-team opportunity now.

Jack Clarke is at the forefront of those, whilst Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby are amongst others to be pushing for a chance.

Bielsa would surely prefer to help those progress rather than reintroduce Cibicki.
