Burnley's transfer window has started to pick up as Vincent Kompany looks to put his mark on the squad.

Bringing in the likes of Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Scott Twine in particular are seen as real coups for the Clarets and they are expected to be busy over the coming weeks with further additions needed.

And, one man who could be making the move to Turf Moor is Callum O'Hare, with reports claiming the Coventry City man is on Burnley's radar.

Whilst it's going to be difficult to do a deal for the 24-year-old, here we outline THREE reasons why Burnley must do all they can to try and get it done...

He suits Kompany's style of play

Firstly, anyone who has seen O'Hare play will recognise immediately that he would suit what Kompany is trying to build at Burnley.

There will be a focus on playing attractive, passing football and O'Hare's technique would make him the ideal fit. He is similar to Twine in a way but the prospect of the pair linking up in the final third is one that should really excite the fans.

He can be a long-term option

Another way O'Hare fits the profile of what Burnley want is his age.

There has been a change in the recruitment policy this summer with Kompany focusing on bringing in younger players with an eye on the future and whilst O'Hare isn't exactly a kid at 24, he's still someone who has his best years in front of him.

They need more creativity

Finally, even though it was in the Premier League, Burnley were a tough watch at times over the years and there was understandably a focus on making sure they were resolute and hard to beat.

Now in the Championship, the approach needs to change but Kompany isn't inheriting a squad that is blessed with lots of attacking talent.

O'Hare would help significantly on that front and could become a key attacking outlet for a Burnley side that need more reinforcements in the final third.
