Norwich City return to Championship after just one ultimately disappointing season in the Premier League, hoping they have the same mentality to bounce back as they did during the 2014/2015 season.

The Canaries are beginning to gain a reputation as a sort of yo-yo club after multiple promotions and relegation in recent years, and will be hopeful they can produce another memorable season in the Championship next time around.

Alex Neil looks set to stay on as boss at Carrow Road following a great deal of support from the fan base, and will already be planning what he and his team require next campaign to ensure an immediate return to the Premier League.

There will be expectations among the Norwich supporters that they will do so, but it will certainly be far from straightforward, such is the competitive nature that is Championship football.

FLW's Tom Percival looks at THREE reasons why Norwich City could nonetheless come out victorious and why Alex Neil can lead his side straight back into the Premier League...

Promotion experience in the past

A large proportion of the current squad, and Alex Neil himself, experienced what it takes to get out of this division just 12 months ago, as the Canaries defeated Middlesbrough in the 2015 play-off final at Wembley.

This is an advantage that Norwich hold over some of their potential promotion rivals, including fellow relegated sides Newcastle and Aston Villa.

Many players will be able to call on the spirit and desire that they required two seasons ago once again to ensure that Norwich are a real force in the Championship.

There has not been a huge turnover of players at Carrow Road in recent years, and subsequently this should give Norwich a real chance of achieving their goals for next season.

Leading Championship players at his disposal

Although this Norwich squad have continually struggled at Premier League level, there is no doubt that many of them are of the highest quality in comparison to many players in the Championship.

Key men such as Jonny Howson, Cameron Jerome and Graham Dorrans have all proven themselves to be stand out players at this level, and Neil will hope they can do so again.

If the majority of this team can be kept together, and with the exception of Nathan Redmond this look a distinct possibility, then it is a side more than capable of challenging for the automatic spots in the Championship, as was proven 12 months ago.

More may need to be done should a return to the Premier League be achieved, but for now Norwich already look very strong.

May go under the radar

Usually when you are a newly relegated side to the Championship you're consistently viewed by many of the clubs as a huge scalp and teams often up their games.

Although I am not saying that Norwich City are not a big club and will not be treated as such, there is a strong possibility that they will go under the radar in any potential promotion race, especially with Newcastle and Aston Villa now in the division.

It is likely that these two giants will have the burden of expectation and media attention in the division, meaning Alex Neil and his side can go about their work quietly and efficiently and this could be hugely advantageous.

If Newcastle and Villa can't handle the pressure, expect Norwich to steal in and take Championship glory at their expense.
