Norwich City clinched the Championship title with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on the final day of the season and can now look forward to next season in the top flight.

It has been a phenomenal campaign for the Canaries and Daniel Farke and his players deserve enormous credit for the way they have exceeded all exceptions.

Farke is expected to be given a £20million transfer budget and will be looking to considerably strengthen his squad in the summer, as he looks to build a team that can compete in the Premier League next season.

The Norwich boss will have already identified potential transfer targets and it was reported earlier this week that the club are interested in signing centre-forward Sergi Enrich from Spanish club SD Eibar.

The 29-year-old has scored seven goals and contributed four assists for his teammates in La Liga this season and is out of contract in the summer.

Here are three reasons why Enrich would be a good signing for Norwich City...

His experience

Enrich is an experienced player, who has been successful in the top flight in Spain and could have what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

He would be able to pass his experience down to the younger players in the squad and could be a big influence both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

The Spaniard would also give Farke some extra strength in depth and would provide some competition for the likes of Teemu Pukki.

His goal threat

Enrich is an experienced striker, with a very respectable goal-scoring record in Spain.

The 29-year-old has scored 34 goals in 135 games for SD Eibar and has been one of the most underrated forwards in La Liga over the past few seasons.

The centre-forward is an instinctive finisher and comes alive in the box. He could be a good fit for Farke's style of football.

He would be available on a free transfer

Enrich is out of contract at the end of this season and will be available to clubs on a free transfer in the summer, so this could be the perfect opportunity for Norwich to sign him.

Farke is expected to be given a £20million transfer budget in the summer, so he will be eyeing a few value signings.

We all saw the impact that Teemu Pukki made when he joined the club on a free transfer and you certainly wouldn't put it past Farke to find another bargain.
