It’s fair to say that Notts County are in turmoil – they have just sacked their second manager of the season after a truly dismal start to proceedings.
Former Liverpool and Leeds United midfielder Harry Kewell has recently been relieved of his duties at the League Two club after just ten weeks, winning just three of his fourteen games in charge of the Magpies.
After a huge summer spending spree, expectations were extremely high at the start of the season – Notts were touted as the bookies’ favourites to lift the title come the end of the season, especially after finishing in the play-offs last term.
But any kind of finish in the promotion places already looks unlikely for the East Midlands club, who currently sit 22nd in the League Two table.
One player who has been like a diamond in the rubble for Notts County is Enzio Boldewijn – the 25-year old arrived at Meadow Lane in the summer from Crawley Town, for a six-figure fee.
