Jack Harrison was a revelation at Elland Road after spending the season on-loan from Premier League giants Manchester City.
Now the West Yorkshire club want him back on a permanent basis. Harrison was one of the stand-out players for Leeds last season and shined under Marco Bielsa's management.
Unsurprisingly, the Argentine would love to see him return to the club but will have to fight off competition from other teams as well as meet Manchester City's asking price, thought to be in the region of £20 million.
It's thought other Premier League clubs could be interested in the 22-year-old so Leeds may have to move quickly to get their man. Yorkshire may be Harrison's preferred destination if it was down to him after being embraced by the Leeds United fans.
We take a look at why bring Harrison back to Elland Road on a permanent basis could prove to be a shrewd bit of business for Leeds United.
Potential
With four league goals, three assists and 39 appearances, Harrison showcased the potential he has to be a top player.
The midfielder is only going to get better and another season in the Championship could see him better his stats of the previous campaign. You don't get into Manchester City's academy for nothing so clearly Harrison has the potential to play at the top of the game.
Selling-on fee
While rumours of a £20 million price tag on the midfielder may seem like a lot, and out of a Championship teams' range, Harrison's value could rise to double that in a few years time.
Harry Maguire left Hull for £17 million in 2017 and is now valued at around £70 million. If Leeds were to pay for Harrison now they could reap the rewards later on.
Jadon Sancho left Man City's youth set-up to join Dortmund his transfer fee has rocketed. The same could easily happen with Harrison if he continues to impress.
Experience
Harrison now has a full season of Championship football under his belt and Leeds know he is capable of playing at this level.
The midfielder also seemed to enjoy his time at the club and spoke of his pride to play for the team on social media. Leeds would be getting a committed and proven Championship player if they signed him on a permanent deal.
