Sheffield Wednesday have made an impressive start to their Championship campaign this season, but there will be one decision that they will be regretting that could cost them promotion to the Premier League.

The Owls made the bold decision to let striker Jordan Rhodes leave the club on loan to fellow Championship side, Norwich City.

That decision has proved costly, as Rhodes has proved to be an excellent addition to Daniel Farke's side as they have mounted their own charge towards the play-offs.

The 28-year-old has scored seven goals in all competitions for Farke's team this season and is the club's top goalscorer, one goal ahead of fellow striker, Teemu Pukki.

Rhodes will be confident of adding to his goal tally over the course of the season in a thriving Norwich side.

But, why will the Owls be regretting the decision to let Rhodes leave the club in the summer?

Find out here....

The Scotsman only scored seven times in 35 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday last season, but he has already scored that amount this season in half the amount of appearances.

He is showing signs of rediscovering the form that made him one of the Football League's best.

Rhodes has featured in all of Norwich's Championship fixtures this season and that seems to paying off as he has four goals to his name and is proving to be one of Daniel Farke's key players in the league.

If he can maintain this form then we are likely to see the Canaries challenging for promotion.

Sheffield Wednesday could certainly benefit from having something different in their striking options this season.

Lucas Joao, Steven Fletcher and Adthe Nuhiu all offer something similar, whilst Sam Winnall is injured.

Rhodes is known for his eye for goal, so Sheffield Wednesday are certainly regretting not having someone who offers something that little bit different in the penalty area.
