Sheffield Wednesday have been in excellent form this season, but they suffered a frustrating defeat to Middlesbrough at Hillsborough on Friday evening.

Jos Luhukay's side fell to a 2-1 loss and will be hoping that they can bounce back from the defeat with a positive result in midweek against QPR at Loftus Road.

One positive that Sheffield Wednesday fans can take from the game is the form of winger Adam Reach, who netted another stunning strike to halve the deficit on the night, but it wasn't enough as the Owls dropped to 11th in the Championship table.

The goal was Reach's 4th goal of the season and his recent impressive performances haven't gone unnoticed.

Premier League new boys Wolves have reportedly registered their interest in signing Reach in January, when the transfer window reopens.

But Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to keep hold of their star man who they will hope will play a pivotal part in their promotion chasing campaign this season.

We look at the reasons why they must keep hold of Reach this season.

Find out those reasons here...

Reach has been in excellent form this season, and having scored four times already this season, he is Sheffield Wednesday's best player this season by some distance.

If Jos Luhukay's side are to mount any sort of play-off push this season, then it is vital that they keep hold of Reach as he has already shown that he has the quality to change games in the blink of an eye.

Jos Luhukay isn't blessed with a considerable amount of options in the wide areas for Sheffield Wednesday, and if they were to sell Reach, then he would be severely limited with options in that area going forward for the rest of the season.

At any club, when you sell one of your best players, it almost never goes down well with the fans.

This will be the case at Hillsborough if they are to sell their in-form man, as many fans would be sure to question the stature of the club if they were selling their best player midway through such a strong start to the season.
