The heroic playoff push of last season seems a long time ago now for Millwall and Neil Harris.
The Lions currently sit in 22nd place and look set to be part of a real relegation scrap at the bottom of the Championship this season.
The Londoners have won just once in their last nine matches and just twice all season with the pressure now beginning to mount on both Harris and the players.
Last season, the club’s biggest strength was undoubtedly their defence. Harris set his side up to be incredibly hard to beat and he achieved that well.
His back four were probably the most organised in the entire division and it was on these values that they built their playoff push.
But they are now struggling and attention will have no doubt began to turn to the January transfer window.
One player who could be an option is Newcastle United youngster and Sean Longstaff.
The 20-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan with Blackpool and another move away from St. James’ Park could well be on the cards.
