With question marks placed upon the future of Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United, an influential figure has had his say on where the Argentine's next job should be.

Former Boca Juniors man Vicente Pernia has urged the Argentinian side to appoint the experienced head coach as the club’s new manager, with the 33-time Argentinean champions currently sitting 10 points off the top of the league under current coach Gustavo Alfaro.

After speaking to Argentinean media outlet El Intransigente, Pernia said: "Boca need a manager that when he speaks the rest do not say anything, that if he comes to train from tomorrow at six in the morning, nobody says anything, and the one who says something, can not play at Boca.”

“That’s the personality of the coach that is needed – that coach today is Bielsa, where no one of the squad is going to say anything because he knows he does not play.”

Bielsa's has been a revelation at Elland Road - his footballing philosophy and personality has bred new life into Elland Road, with the Whites sitting within touching distance of the Sky Bet Championship automatic promotion places.

Here, we take a look at three reasons why Leeds fans ought to be worried by this latest news...

Bielsa has several connections with Argentina, having managed the national team as well as Velez Sarsfield and Newell's Old Boys in his established managerial career.

He has taken to life in Leeds like a duck to water, but you feel as if a job back in Argentina would be too good for Bielsa to turn down as he approaches the latter stages of his career as a manager.

Ahead of what is shaping up to be a crucial few months for the club, the last thing that Leeds need to be worrying about is the future of their manager.

Of course, there has been no approach from Boca Juniors as of yet, but with plenty of influential figures speaking about his future, it must be quite disturbing and simply quite annoying for Bielsa.

Leeds need to be concentrating on life on the pitch, not off it.

[snack_break title="He would be so hard to replace"]

With plenty of experienced managers currently out of work, you get the feeling that replacing Bielsa would be massive shoes to fill.

The likes of Slavisa Jokanovic and Aitor Karanka would all be very good options for the Yorkshire club, but even then, Bielsa brings someone completely different to those out of work.
