Bristol City were always going to struggle to recreate their early season form of the last campaign, but the level of struggle this time out is highly concerning.
They’ve won three in twelve and have just one victory from the last five matches, with four defeats. They’re 14th in the table, eight points clear of the bottom three but six outside the play off spots.
Whilst they’re not amongst the front runners just yet, there are signs they might be able to turn the corer. The 3-2 win at Ipswich last night wasn’t a huge shock, but it showed fortitude and resilience to put four straight defeats behind them.
They face Millwall this weekend, another side struggling for points, a game which could easily see them elevate themselves back up the table. In such a tightly-knit group of teams, a win or two can go an awfully long way.
