Leeds United take on League Two side, Salford City on Tuesday evening in the Carabao Cup, in what could prove to be a tricky game for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

The Whites will be favourites for the game, but it will be interesting to see whether Marcelo Bielsa is tempted to make changes to the team that drew with Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

One player that will certainly be in the frame for a start against Salford is young midfielder, Mateusz Bogusz.

The youngster is yet to feature for Bielsa's side in competitive fixtures this season, but it seems likely that he could be involved for their game this evening.

Bogusz was a regular in Leeds' pre-season campaign though, and caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the first-team.

We look at three reasons why Bielsa should look to use Bogusz tonight against Salford City in the Carabao Cup.

He's a bright young talent with real potential

It's easy to forget that Bogusz is still only 17, but there are high hopes for the young midfielder at Elland Road.

He made 33 appearances for Ruch Chorzow's first-team earlier in his career, as well as being a regular for Poland's youth teams for a number of years.

So it's clear to see that he's got something about him, and it will be interesting to see whether he can force himself into Marcelo Bielsa's plans for this season.

Bogusz has been impressive during pre-season

The youngster featured for Bielsa's side during their pre-season tour of Australia, and didn't look out of place at all.

He scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win against West Sydney Wanderers and will be hoping to add to that tally in the near future for the Whites.

Bogusz would be more than deserving of a place in their team against Salford on Tuesday, and it's important that he grasps the opportunity with both hands.

He'll be eager to prove himself to Marcelo Bielsa

Bogusz has been unlucky not to have featured for Leeds in their league campaign so far, so he'll he hoping to make the most of opportunity in the first-team if he is involved against Salford.

It will be a tough test for the youngster against the League Two side, who won't be giving Bielsa's men any time on the ball during the game.

But Bogusz needs to be at his best, and if he can put in a strong performance, then it will give Marcelo Bielsa a welcome selection headache for the near future.
