Last Saturday evening, Aaron Tshibola scored a late winner and rescued a point for Aston Villa against Newcastle, after coming off the bench at half time.

The former Reading man had only made 4 appearances for Roberto Di Matteo's men, after signing from Reading in the summer, and netted what was his first career goal.

This leaves Villa with just one win under their belt, following their relegation from the top flight last term, in what was a dismal campaign, and they lie in 16th place, with six draws and two losses.

After making a fantastic impact on Saturday, maybe it's about time that the Italian manager starts to consider including the talented youngster in the starting eleven, therefore here, FLW writer George Harbey identifies THREE reasons why Aaron Tshibola should start week in week out for the Villans...

He possesses a wealth of talent

Last season, Aston Villa were a team who looked thoroughly lethargic from start to finish, with no-one inspiring the team in their rapid descent from the Premier League.

There will be no danger of a lethargic Villa side this season, with the likes Albert Adomah, Jonathan Kodjia, and Jack Grealish, as well as Tshibola of course.

Tshibola is a player who has tons of energy, and fighting spirit. The 6′ 3″ midfielder will bring desire, talent and energy to the Villa midfield.

If the 21-year-old is utilised correctly and remains injury free, he could be instrumental in helping Villa secure promotion back to the top-flight.

He is very versatile

Tshibola is a very versatile player, able to do a job as a defensive midfielder as well as his usual role as a central midfielder.

He is extremely multi-talented as a midfielder, and the player who has made a total of 85 career appearances will be hoping that his adaptive nature can secure him a place in the Aston Villa line-up.

The central midfielder position was a position in which Villa was really lacking class last season, and after Idrissa Gueye's departure to Everton in the summer, Tshibola can be the perfect candidate to fulfil that hole.

He is one of the most promising prospects in English football

A string of consistent performances would be extremely beneficial for Tshibola, as he progresses in his career.

Having already proved himself in the Championship, Tshibola could be one of the best young footballers in the future to come.

With the likes of young stars Jack Grealish, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Gary Gardner and Jordan Lyden coming to the fray in the first team, Villa definitely have several fascinating youth prospects under their ranks, with Tshibola being the most impressive.
