Aberdeen midfielder Graeme Shinnie looks set to snub Rangers for a move to Luton Town, as reported by the Express.

The 27-year-old has been commanding for the Dons this season, but with his contract expiring he's been widely expected to move on. Interest from the Scottish giants is bound to be tempting, but he seems intent on trying his luck south of the border.

He's also a reported target for Sunderland, another of the League One promotion hopefuls. Despite the attention, Kenilworth Road looks to be the favoured destination of the 2015 Scottish Cup winner.

Shinnie is a full Scotland international and is currently on duty with the senior squad as they look to get their Euro 2020 qualification off to a bright start.

By the time the tournament comes around, Shinnie could have a season of English football under his belt. Here's three reasons why that season should be spent with Luton Town.

Club Ambition

Luton Town are a club with ambition. After years of trying, they've secured planning permission for their new stadium and the future looks very bright.

That has to be a huge motivator, a chance to get in on the act nice and early.

Andrew Shinnie

His brother Andrew is at Luton and that would help him settle quickly.

They played together for Inverness and the chance to rekindle that partnership will surely be a huge draw.

First Team Chances

Sunderland took Dylan McGeouch to the Stadium of Light, but he's struggled to make an impact.

Shinnie has to make a move that affords him a first team chance and Luton would surely do that.
