West Bromwich Albion are currently in the midst of a promotion battle atop the Championship heading into the hectic schedule the Christmas period brings.
Darren Moore’s men are fifth in the league, six points off the automatic promotion places ahead of four games in the next 18 days.
The Baggies’ early-season form has somewhat dissipated, with the club falling from the top two to the middle of the playoff pack.
Defensive frailties have seen West Brom slip a little, but in attacking areas, they are still on fire.
Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez have ten goals each in a team that are the highest scorers in the division.
The latter mentioned, has been linked with a move away in the new year with Burnley reportedly keen on bringing their former striker back to Turf Moor.
That news comes after a summer fuelled with speculation that Rodriguez wanted to leave the club after their relegation.
It would be a big blow if the club’s joint top scorer were to leave and a replacement would need to be sourced to fill the void that the 29-year-old would undoubtedly leave upon any potential exit.
With that said, if Rodriguez were to leave here are three realistic options that could replace the striker in January if he goes.
