Derby County could face a battle to keep hold of Louie Sibley as it was revealed that Leeds United are monitoring the talented teenager.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Rams last time out, starring towards the end of the campaign after boss Phillip Cocu gave the attacking midfielder his chance.

And, such form caught the attention of Leeds, with Football Insider confirming that the Whites are keen to do a deal for the left-footer.

Whilst Victor Orta, the director of football at Elland Road, played down talk a transfer could go through before Friday's deadline, he did confirm that Leeds have been monitoring the player, so it could be something to watch further down the line.

Here we look at THREE qualities Sibley would bring to the Premier League side if this deal happened...

Goals

Firstly, Leeds would be getting an attacking midfielder that knows how to score goals.

He managed to get five in 11 games last season, which is a terrific return considering his age, which included a match-winning hat-trick away to Millwall.

The youngster is calm in front of goal and a very smart finisher.

Technique

We all know the importance that Marcelo Bielsa places on keeping the ball and having players that are capable of playing in tight spaces and Sibley would settle in instantly.

He is intelligent with his movement and has already shown he can do a lot with the ball. Short passing, long passing, feeding through balls, Sibley can do it all.

Potential

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this potential deal for Leeds fans is the fact that Sibley is just 19 - he could be a star for years to come.

He has shown all of this talent at such a young age and he has the ability to take his game up another few levels as he improves.
