QPR made it five wins in the Championship without a win on Friday night when they threw away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 away to Fulham.

Jordan Hugill scrambled home the opener in the third minute but a two goals from Aboubakar Kamara condemned the R's to yet another defeat, leaving them in 12th place.

On Wednesday, they will have the chance to redeem themselves when Nottingham Forest visit the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, but it will be another tough task against another promotion chaser.

So, in the build up to the clash, here are THREE tweaks that Warburton must consider ahead of the game...

Approach

Against Fulham on Friday night it was clear that the approach from the visitor's was to fly out of the traps and cause concern among the back-line early on.

And, in fairness, it worked. Hugill netted early on and the R's looked in control.

However, as the second half got underway, it was clear that they were struggling to maintain those levels and it allowed Fulham to grow back into things and then eventually dominate themselves.

So against Nottingham Forest, Warburton will need to consider whether that is the smartest approach as they look for their first win in six games.

Wells dropped

The Burnley loanee simply was not at the races on Friday, with Hugill's energetic and physical display catching the eye far more.

Wells was replaced by Ilias Chair just after the hour mark and although he did not end up having much of an impact, it did help the R's reclaim the midfield battle.

Against Forest, that is likely to be another crucial area in the contest so starting Chair in place of Wells is something that the manager will surely have to consider on Wednesday night.

Lumley's role

It was a strange night for Lumley at Craven Cottage.

Whilst the goalkeeper made some good saves, it was his shocking pass from the back to Stefan Johansen which ultimately led to the Fulham winner in the second-half, and it will have left Warburton with a decision to make.

Does he take the shot-stopper out of the firing line, potentially saving his confidence? Or, does he give him the chance to redeem himself against what could well be a dangerous Forest side?

It is a tough one.
