Queens Park Rangers will be looking to use the second half of the season as well as they did last campaign and that will all stem from another productive January transfer window.

The Hoops really turned things around in the second part of 20/21 with signings like Stefan Johansen and Charlie Austin having a positive impact.

Now, then, the challenge will be to try and add to the squad further, if they so wish, in a way that will allow them to try and seal a promotion spot by the end of the season.

There are plenty of rumours doing the rounds at the moment concerning the Hoops, too, so let's take a look at few ins and outs that could happen next month...

According to The Telegraph, Jack Simpson is wanted by Queens Park Rangers, as well as Middlesbrough and Swansea City.

The player joined Glasgow Rangers in the January transfer window at the beginning of 2021 when Steven Gerrard was the manager there.

However, he has not featured much at all this season for them and could be open to a move away from the club if the right offer comes up.

Dilan Markanday appears a wanted man as things stand with the Evening Standard reporting that Queens Park Rangers are just one of several sides looking at the Tottenham talent.

A loan deal could be in the offing in January as Spurs potentially look to get him some senior minutes in the second half of the season and so Rangers could be his potential destination, with him then able to stay in the Capital and feature for a side that is hoping to be challenging for promotion.

Charlie Kelman out

Kelman was on loan at Gillingham earlier on this season but it was not working out for him and the deal was therefore cut short.

QPR will surely be looking at options for him for the second half of the season as they will want him to be playing and getting senior minutes somewhere if they do not feel he is quite ready for Championship football.

After what happened with the Kent club, though, they'll be double determined to make sure they get this one right.
