Luton will be eager to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday when they travel to Lancashire to face Preston North End.

Graeme Jones' side were humbled 3-0 by Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium on Tuesday night, a result which saw them drawn closer to the relegation battle in the process.

Just three points now separate the Hatters from the drop so the pressure will be starting to build as we approach the half-way point in the season.

But we are here to help.

Here are THREE Preston weaknesses that Luton must look to exploit on Saturday...

Lack of pace

Preston are a very well oiled machine which often makes up for the lack of individual pace in the side.

However, it will offer Luton an avenue to punish the Lillywhites in one-on-one situations, most notably against the likes of Andrew Hughes at left-back, with Rafferty suspended on the right-hand side.

Not having Izzy Brown's pace available will be a blow but it could be a game where the likes of Callum McManaman and Kazenga Lualua really come into their own for the Hatters.

Lack of goals

With Daniel Johnson set to continue his spell on the sidelines, Preston continue to lack a reliable marksman.

Tom Barkhuizen is next on the list with five but is in and out of the squad as well, whilst strikers Sean Maguire and David Nugent have four and one respectively. The fact they went four games without a goal prior to that Fulham clash should say everything.

This is something that could well allow Luton a bit more freedom in attack, knowing that should they be dispossesed, the strikers at the other end are perhaps less likely to finish the opportunity.

Home pressure

Whilst Preston playing at home is nearly always a strength for Alex Neil's side, it is possible for Luton to turn it into a weakness.

If they are able to go to Deepdale and frustrate their opponents for long enough, some agitation may start to creep into the fans and filter through to the players.

After all, they may have won on Tuesday but they still went four games without a point just weeks earlier in the season. So they will be keen to see them build on that yet again.

Luton will just have to wait and capitalise on the mistakes that come with it.
