James Norwood has taken League Two by storm this season, with his goals firing Tranmere Rovers into the promotion hunt.

They only emerged from their National League spell last season, but Norwood has wasted no time in establishing himself as a key player in the Football League.

He's scored regularly during his time in the fifth-tier, but hasn't been given the chance of a move.

It seems he's now proving scouts wrong to have ignored him for so long, helping his side to a 3-3 draw against Oxford City in the FA Cup this weekend, taking his goal tally to 13 in 17 matches.

He has scored almost half of Tranmere's goals in the league this season and that has natural lead to speculation amongst fans he could be poached in the January window. If he were to leave, they might find it tough to replace him easily.

Here are three players FLW thinks could do a job for Mickey Mellon's side, if Norwood were to leave.

Bonne has been superb for Leyton Orient this season, smashing 14 goals to add to the 22 he scored last season.

After struggling at Colchester, the Zimbabwe international has truly found his feet in London and would be prime for a move to Tranmere.

That is if they can forget him scoring a winner for Lincoln City at Prenton Park in 2016.

Danny Rowe has been scoring goals for Fylde for several seasons now, but as yet hasn't been given his Football League chance.

There might be a question over his ability to do it on the bigger stage, but Tranmere will know from having Norwood that could be unfounded.

He'd be a big capture for Mellon, if they could secure his services.

Green has been in and out of the Lincoln side this season, but still has five goals to his name despite a lack of league starts.

He bagged 17 last season and is approaching the end of his Lincoln deal. it would hurt the Imps, but maybe Tranmere fancy an experienced league striker to replace Norwood.
