This season is shaping up to be an incredibly promising one for the Yorkshire club - they find themselves just four points off the automatic promotion places with a game in hand, and are playing some exceptional football.

They have a solid defence, a clinical goalscorer in Kieffer Moore up front, and an array of talented midfielders under their ranks, none other than Brad Potts.

The former Blackpool man has scored six goals and produced three assists from central midfield this term, so he's bound to have his suitors in January due to his impressive form.

Here, we take a look at three replacements for Potts if he is poached in January...

Szmodics has been the catalyst of Colchester's promotion push in League Two this season, netting five times and producing three assists this term.

Capable of playing in attacking midfield or deeper if needs be, the 23-year old could definitely step up to League One and has the potential to grow into a fantastic player.

Another player who has been on fire in League Two, Chuks Aneke could be a magnificent signing for Barnsley.

He has been playing in a makeshift striker position in recent weeks for MK Dons, but the powerful 25-year old's best position is playing in behind the striker, similarly to Potts.

At 6-foot-3, he'd add presence and pace to the Tykes midfield, as well as a goalscoring instinct, having scored seven goals and producing one assist this season.

Despite Scunthorpe United's struggles, Josh Morris continues to be a massively important player the Iron.

He has netted four goals and produced four assists this term, and it's amazing how long the League One side have kept him at Glanford Park.

He scored 11 goals and produced six assists last term, and a staggering 19 goals and 17 assists the year before that - a simply magnificent record.

Able to play as a winger or a central midfielder in a midfield trio, he'd fit in Stendel's plans magnificently well.
