Kenny Jackett is doing a very steady job at Wolves, leading the club to a healthy mid-table position amid the sale of his star striker Benik Afobe earlier in the transfer window.

Wolves are typical of most of the teams in the Championship, capable of beating anyone on their day, but suffering from periods of inconsistency and frustration.

Not only have they lost Afobe, but young starlet Jordan Graham has suffered a serious injury which will keep him out for nearly a year.

Jackett therefore will no doubt be looking to add to his squad in the final week of the window, with attacking options surely at the forefront of his mind.

There are plenty of players available in January should the fees and timing be right, and here, I look at THREE players Wolves should look to snap up this week.....

Dwight Gayle

Gayle has the pace to make up for that which has been lost because of the sale of Afobe, and after being deemed surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park, could be a good option for Wolves.

Gayle would command a fairly hefty fee and Kenny Jackett would need his board to back him with funds if he was to secure the signing.

There is no doubting Gayle has quality though, and although he can do it at Premier League level, chances have been limited for him.

Signing for Wolves may well the kick start he needs in his career, while helping fire Wolves towards the play off positions they so covet.

Bradley Dack

The Gillingham midfield ace is having an absolutely superb season for the Gills and is in double figures for both assists and goals already.

He has been linked with a host of clubs and Wolves would be well advised to get in that mix of clubs seeking to win the race for his signature.

Armed with the money from the Afobe sale, it may just give Wolves the edge when it comes to negotiations. Dack would complement the midfield talent of Kevin McDonald superbly, and deserves his shot at higher level football, just like McDonald did.

Aiden McGeady

McGeady has been told he can leave Everton by manager Roberto Martinez, and he would slot straight in at Wolves.

With the loss of Jordan Graham to serious injury, Wolves are in need of a flying winger and McGeady fits that bill perfectly.

He has experience at the highest level of football and could provide the quality needed to give Wolves season a real boost as we head in to the final few months of the campaign if Jackett could persuade him to come.

Wolves will need to act quickly though, with Leeds and other Championship clubs strongly linked with the Irish international.
