Wolverhampton Wanderers were in play-off contention at New Year, but a run of poor results for Kenny Jackett's side has seen the team slipping down the table.

The side claimed their first win in eight fixtures in the Championship at the weekend, beating Derby County 2-1 to leave them 13th in the standings, 12 points off the top six.

The club made a number of new signings in the January transfer window, including the acquisition of Cardiff City's Joe Mason and Mike Williamson from Newcastle United, while Jeremy Helan has come in on loan since the emergency loan window reopened.

With so many new arrivals, it is likely that Wolves will look to offload some of their surplus players in the loan window for the rest of the season, potentially giving some of their younger stars more experience, while allowing those who could be looking for a move away in the summer a chance to work on their match fitness.

Jack Price

Midfielder Jack Price had a run in the squad earlier in the season, but has played just 94 minutes of football since Christmas.

The 23-year-old was a regular last season following a loan spell with Leyton Orient, but has featured just 15 times in the league this season, and has been an unused substitute in eight of Wolves's last 10 fixtures.

Price is a highly-rated defensive midfielder but has just one season left on his current contract, so needs to be match fit and have an extended run in the side if he wants to secure a new deal.

Wolves might want to bring Price back before the end of the season, but his accurate passing and ability to get the ball forward on the counter-attack could be of interest to other sides needing to strengthen in midfield in the short term.

Jon Flatt

Wolves have an uncertain keeper situation going into the 2016-17 season, with Emiliano Martinez due to return to Arsenal at the end of his loan spell and Aaron McCarey out of contract in the summer, so it would be a good time for 21-year-old Jon Flatt to get some first-team action under his belt.

The young keeper has been an unused substitute in a couple of Championship fixtures this season, but has mainly been involved with the youth side, keeping two clean sheets in nine outings in the Under-21 Premier League.

Flatt, who has previously had loan spells with Chesterfield and Wrexham, could gain a lot from a stint with a League One or League Two side, giving him a chance to challenge Carl Ikeme for the number one shirt next season.

Flatt is a highly-rated shot stopper who has been at Wolves since he was eight years old, and could use a loan spell to earn a new long-term contract.

Bright Enobakhare

Teenage striker Bright Enobakhare has made a handful of appearances for Wolverhampton's first team this season, but has only featured once since October, coming off the bench in the loss to Cardiff in January.

The 18-year-old hasn't been in a matchday squad in the Championship since January, spending time with the Under-21s instead.

Enobakhare is clearly a player the manager sees potential in, but he is still young and has limited experience, so a loan would give him the chance to learn from an extended spell with a senior squad.

The Nigerian-born forward was in trouble with the club earlier this season, going AWOL for several weeks because of a family issue, so he needs to prove his commitment if he wants to be given an increased role at Wolves.
