Burnley currently find themselves in second place in the Championship table, and in with a real chance of making an immediate return to the Premier League under manager Sean Dyche.

They have been solid throughout the season and have scored goals aplenty, with Andre Gray and Sam Vokes spearheading their attacks.

Joey Barton has been one of the signings of the season in the middle of the park, while Tom Heaton in goal has marshalled a solid back four to become one of the league's most consistently performing defensive units.

While their squad is full of talent and they are in with a real shout of going up, they squad also contains players who are not quite in the first team for one reason or another, and may look to move on during the loan window.

Sean Dyche is a fair man, and will always look to get his professionals a fair deal and make sure they are playing.

In this article, FLW's Lee Connor takes a look at THREE Burnley players who might look to leave during the loan window.....

Dan Agyei

The 18-year-old striker was signed in the summer from AFC Wimbledon after impressing immensely in the lower leagues with his pace and power.

However, it was also Agyei's goals which impressed management at Turf Moor, as he plundered in 35 goals for the under-18 and under-21 sides of Wimbledon, putting himself firmly in the shop window for potential suitors.

Burnley were the club who managed to sign him, beating off a host of other clubs in the end for his signature, and Agyei is expected to develop in to a top player at Turf Moor.

A loan move though may well suit him at the moment, and if he can get himself out to the lower leagues and prove he can score goals, then it may just serve him well as he looks to build a career in the game at Championship level.

Mat Gilks

The former Blackpool stopper is second choice behind first choice keeper Tom Heaton and has struggled for game time the entire season.

Gilks is an able deputy though, and despite being seemingly happen to play second fiddle to the England man, he may well look to move away to get some football under his belt, especially with the recent acquisition of Paul Robinson to the ranks also.

He could no doubt provide experience and class in the sticks for many a club, and with plenty of sides in League One and below looking to shore up their defences, Gilks could well provide the steel as the last line of defence.

A winner of promotion to the Premier League with Blackpool in the past, Gilks' experience could be vital to any potential club looking to take him on loan.

Luke Conlan

The full back has just returned from a spell with Scottish club St Mirren, and may well look to get another move as he looks to progress his career further, with chances in the Clarets back line likely to be limited between now and the end of the season.

Conlan has twice seen his contract expire with Burnley and not expect to get a renewal,  but both times has impressed Sean Dyche with his willingness and work rate and gone on to earn new contracts on each occasion.

The left back could well be a useful addition to many squads, and with a spell at St Mirren behind him serving him well in experience terms, it might be that he wants to chance his arm at playing regularly in England.
