The summer transfer window has already been rather busy in terms of incomings at Rotherham United.

Following their promotion from League One at the end of last season, the Millers have already completed the signings of nine new first-team players.

The likes of Peter Kioso, Cohen Bramall, Tom Eaves, Conor Washington, Jamie McCart, Grant Hall, Lee Peltier, Cameron Humphreys and Scott High have all made the move to the New York Stadium.

However, there is still work to be done by the Millers in the window, if they are to have the best chance of re-establishing themselves in the Championship this season.

So with that in mind, we've taken a look at three players Rotherham should be looking to sign before the transfer window closes at the start of September, right here.

Uche Ikpeazu

Despite the additions of Eaves and Washington in the centre forward position this summer, it seems that manager Paul Warne is keen to bring another striker into Rotherham this summer.

One option they could consider for that role is Middlesbrough's Uche Ikpeazu, who looks to be surplus to requirements at The Riverside, as 'Boro chase a number of new attacking additions of their own.

Ikpeazu does have plenty of experience in the Championship over the past couple of seasons, and did impress considerably during a loan spell with Cardiff last season, which could make him a useful asset for the Millers.

Indeed, there has been a Middlesbrough influence to Rotherham's business this summer with Hall and Peltier joining from 'Boro, and that too could help them to get a deal over the line.

Cole Stockton

Another option that Rotherham may want to look into before the window closes in around a month's time, is Cole Stockton.

Despite Morecambe's struggles, the striker was prolific in League One this season, so he knows how to make the sort of impact the Millers will be hoping for in the coming campaign.

It was reported earlier in the summer that Rotherham are indeed interested in Stockton, but that they were reluctant to make a big bid for the 28-year-old.

However, with Stockton into the final year of his contract with Morecambe, the Shrimps could be tempted to cash in on him if a club such as Rotherham do make a move for him, given he is arguably too good a player to risk losing for free next summer.

Frank Fielding

With Rotherham's two current senior goalkeeping options, Viktor Johansson and Josh Vickers, are short on Championship experience, that is another position they might want to consider adding to.

One player who could therefore be worth looking at for the Millers is Frank Fielding, who has been a Championship goalkeeper for many years, with well over 200 appearances in the division to his name.

That could make him a solid option between the posts for Warne's side, and given he did not feature in the matchday squad for current club Stoke on the opening day, it could be argued that he may be available for a move.

Given players with know-how at this level have been targeted by Rotherham already this summer, that too could make this an appealing deal for the club as they look to make their mark in the second-tier.
