Following Michael Beale's arrival at Loftus Road as QPR's new manager for the season ahead, the boss has been keen to make additions to his side in the hope that they can push up the league towards the play-offs this year.

There have been a number of arrivals at the club this summer, including two loan signings from Premier League clubs perhaps suggesting how Beale is shaping his side for the season.

However, with the transfer window still open until the end of the month, there is still some work to be done in the Rangers squad to give them the best chance of pushing high in the league.

With that in mind, here we take a look at three players that Beale should be taking a look at ahead of the new season.

Danny McNamara

This is a saga that has been ongoing for some time now as QPR are keen to add to their defensive options at the club.

Rangers have put in a number of bids for the defender so far this summer although Millwall have rejected each offer so far.

Millwall remain in talks with the defender as they attempt to convince him to sign a new deal at the Den as he enters the final year of his current contract.

However, as it stands, it doesn't look likely that the 23-year-old will sign especially given the fact he was an unused substitution during their opening game of the season at the weekend.

As the end of the transfer window edges closer, it wouldn't be surprising to see Millwall realise they may have to accept a smaller offer than they were hoping for to make money off their defender.

Dujon Sterling

Another defensive option that has been on QPR's radar this summer is Chelsea's Dujon Sterling.

The addition of Sterling would be on a loan basis from the top flight club making it a fairly risk free option for Beale ahead of the new season.

Furthermore, a factor that perhaps makes it even more convincing is the fact that the manager has already worked with the player having coached him in Chelsea's academy meaning the pair already have an established relationship.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Blackpool where he made 24 appearances in the second tier and if he did make a move to Loftus Road, he would be another loan player that the boss would be keen to get the best out of.

Nathan Broadhead

Another area of the pitch where Beale may also want to add some depth is up front. Rangers currently have good options at the top of the pitch but a lack of depth in the out and out striker role.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with Sunderland and played a vital role in their promotion to the Championship as he contributed ten goals in 22 league appearances.

He has since returned to his parent club Everton and The Athletic have reported that the Toffees have offered him a new contract with the idea to then loan him out again allowing him to get some regular minutes under his belt again.

The Black Cats were said to be interested in their former loan player but talks between the two clubs seem to have stalled meaning Rangers could make the move instead.
