Leeds United will be hoping to put their recent 2-0 defeat to Hull City behind them, ahead of a crunch clash with Nottingham Forest this weekend.

The Whites were looking to make it eight wins on the bounce against a rejuvenated Tigers side on Saturday, however Jarrod Bowen's brace secured an invaluable three points for Nigel Adkins' men at Elland Road.

Coincidentally, Bowen has been a name linked with a big-money move to the Yorkshire club, ahead of a hugely important January transfer window that is likely to make or break Leeds' bid for promotion this season.

There's no doubting that the Whites need bodies - they have sustained so many injuries this season and need some fresh faces to add to their fragile squad depth.

With the window fast approaching, here, we take a look at three players who Leeds should try and sign in the next few days...

Leeds have been in the market for a goalkeeper to rival Bailey Peacock-Farrell since the injury sustained to Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackburn - an injury in which saw his loan spell be terminated.

Karl Darlow has been a player linked with a move to Elland Road - the 28-year-old has been frozen out at Newcastle United having fallen down the pecking at St. James' Park, behind Martin Dubravka.

The Whites might have to splash the cash, but for a player of his experience and quality, this is a deal that needs to be done.

Leeds have also been linked with the signing of West Ham's Marcus Browne, who currently finds himself out on loan at Oxford United.

The 21-year-old has been influential in League One, scoring seven goals and producing four assists, and in order to further his development, the Hammers could look recall him and send him out to a Championship side.

After the shock departure of Samu Saiz to Getafe, Leeds are in need of another playmaker, and Browne would certainly add some real flair to the Leeds midfield.

Ibai Gomez has been a name linked with a move to Elland Road for what seems an eternity, and with high-profile clubs circling around the Spaniard, Bielsa needs to get this one wrapped up, and fast.

Premier League side Leicester City were interested in signing the 29-year old, who has scored three goals and produced two assists for Deportivo Alaves, however it looks like Athletic Bilbao look likely to be the front-runners in the race to land the winger.

Having worked with Gomez before at Bilbao, Bielsa will know how to get the best out of the Spaniard, and could also be the convincing factor in Gomez coming to Leeds.
