West Bromwich Albion have recently been linked with the ambitious signing of Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips.

The Baggies reportedly want to sign the 23-year old next summer should they secure promotion to the Premier League instead of the Whites, who currently sit six points ahead of Darren Moore's men.

Phillips has been a regular performer for Leeds over the last few years, but it's under current boss Marcelo Bielsa where he has really flourished - he's started every single league game for the club this term and his held the midfield magnificently well on his own.

The midfielder had been linked with a host of Premier League clubs earlier on this season, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton all vying for his signature, so Leeds need to prepare for a Plan B if he keeps up these magnificent performances.

Here, we take a look at three players who could replace Phillips at Leeds if he leaves.

McTominay is a player who could fill the void of Phillips exceptionally well.

He was linked with a loan move to Elland Road earlier on this season, but if Phillips is sold for a hefty fee, there is no reason why Leeds can't get him on a permanent deal.

He is highly regarded by Jose Mourinho having been given the Player of the Year award at the end of last season, and would be able to replace Phillips in the holding midfield role with ease.

Yearwood is another player who could be a shrewd replacement for Phillips.

Premier League side Crystal Palace, as well as QPR and Middlesbrough have been recently linked with the impressive 18-year old, which shows just how highly rated he is.

He may take a bit of time to grow as a player and be as good as Phillips is, but what a coup he'd be for Leeds.

This might be a controversial one, but Ronaldo Vieira could definitely be a player that Bielsa tries to bring back to Elland Road.

He is, of course, no stranger to the Yorkshire club, having made over 70 appearances for the Whites before departing for Serie A side Sampdoria at the start of this season for a reported fee of £6.2million.

Since then however, the 20-year old has failed to make an impact over in Italy, making just five appearances for the club with just two of those being starts in the league.

Vieira probably sees his move to Italy as a mistake, and with Leeds pushing for the Premier League, they could definitely tempt him back to the club.
