QPR have not had a bad start to the new domestic season at all as they look ahead to their game against Cardiff City on Sunday.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has already guided his side to a 3-0 opening day win over Leeds United, and his side also scraped through in the first round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, overcoming Swindon Town on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

So two wins out of two and looking good at the start of the campaign, but could the former Burton Albion manager do with adding a couple more names to really ensure his team are competing come the end of the season?

We think so, and there are always a handful of Premier League players who need to get out of the top-flight to get their careers back-on-track.

Here, FootballLeagueWorld writer Hayden Atkins identifies THREE Premier League players that need to escape the top-flight and join QPR this summer...

Mario Pašalić

A slightly forgotten Chelsea youngster amongst all of the star names, Mario Pašalić is a young man who will still have aspirations of breaking into the Blues first team.

The hard-hitting central midfielder has enjoyed success at Monaco last season, and another loan move looks in the offing going forward this summer.

He would bring a competitive and sharp edge to the Hoops midfield, and keep competition for places extremely healthy.

Tyler Blackett

This young defender looks set to leave Manchester United this summer after Jose Mourinho brought Eric Bailly to the club from Villarreal.

He spent time on-loan at Celtic last season, and he'd add more healthy competition to Hasselbaink's squad as he looks to try and turn the Hoops into unlikely promotion contenders.

Serge Gnabry

This Arsenal outcast really needs a move as his once promising career begins to stagnate.

He was touted as the next big thing when he burst onto the scene a handful of years ago, but he has failed to break into the Arsenal side over the past couple of seasons.

A loan move could kick-start his career, but a permanent transfer away from Arsenal might not seem too far away either.

He would give QPR bucket-loads of pace going down the wing, and they are going to need plenty of attacking options with a long season ahead.
