Leeds United are currently 13th in the Sky Bet Championship table, with uncertainty behind the scenes, Steve Evans has come in and put a steady hand on the playing side and is steering them in the right direction.

With Kyle Lafferty looking set to join from Premier league outfit Norwich City, they have made a good start in recruiting players that can move the club up the table to challenge for promotion from the Championship, and get back into where the fans believe they belong, in the Premier League.

Steve Evans confirmed earlier this week he is looking at bringing in at least three players during this transfer window, to bolster the club's chances of grabbing a play-off spot.

Here are THREE players that could be following Kyle Lafferty to Elland Road during this January's transfer window......

Marcus Maddison

Steve Evans could do a lot worse than move for highly-rated Peterborough midfielder Marcus Maddison, who is excelling for the Posh this year in Sky Bet League One.

The 22-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most exciting players within the Football League.

The skilful wide man has scored seven goals in 23 games for the Posh, and could easily make the step up to the Sky Bet Championship.

The former non-league star can play in numerous positions should the need arise, but his most scintillating performances have come in the wide left position.

Calum O'Dowda

The 20-year-old winger has been setting Sky Bet League Two alight so far this season for Oxford United.

The flying Irish winger has scored four goals whilst creating seven for his team mates, which has propelled Oxford United into an automatic promotion place in League Two.

There are a number of Championship clubs that will surely be keen on snapping up the U's winger, with Derby County being the most recent team linked to him, however the £1 million price tag may leave the door open for Leeds to swoop in and make the deal.

Jack Grealish

Leeds are among a number of clubs keen on the young player on loan until the end of the season, from Premier League side Aston Villa.

The Yorkshire club are willing to take the talented midfielder and are part of a group of clubs chasing his signature during the transfer window.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde is wiling to allow Grealish to leave on loan but not to a Premier League club, and Grealish would surely relish the chance to get back playing first-team football once more.
