3 players Stoke City could realistically sell this summer to recoup some funds for new players

With football at a standstill and financial problems expected, we have taken a look into club‘s summer transfer plans, identifying THREE players they could sell to recoup some funds.

Northern Irish boss Michael O’Neill is set to embark on his first summer transfer window in charge at the Bet365 stadium, and it is expected that he will look to make a number of significant changes to his Stoke squad.

Having struggled during the Championship campaign and sitting in a precarious position at present, Stoke fans will be hoping for safety before they look at potential players coming in this summer.

A number of players could be made available, having suffered poor form this term, but time will tell on who O’Neill wants to keep at the club.

Looking ahead to the summer transfer window, we have identified THREE players who could leave the club for a significant amount of money…

Tom Ince

A household name in the football league, Ince would have been expected to make a bigger impression this term at Stoke, struggling to find consistent form.

Question marks over his form this season have led to doubts over his future and with that in mind, O’Neill could look to cash in on the winger.

Available at just under £4.5m, Ince could hand the Northern Ireland coach some valuable funds this summer.

Jack Butland

At 27-years-old and with England international experience behind him, Butland can be excused for thinking he could and should be playing at a higher level.

The second highest market value rated player in the Stoke side at £5.85m, according to Transfermarkt, the shot stopper could be made available, and you would expect a number of Premier League sides to make a move.

Badou Ndiaye

Combative midfielder Ndiaye is currently on loan with Turkish Superlig side Trabzonspor, with whom, he is expected to join on a permanent deal.

Whilst the former Stoke man has a market value of £6.12m, that fee could be doubled if the Turkish side are adamant to sign him.
