QPR endured a reasonably eventful transfer deadline day, seeing two leave and one come in, including a £1.75 million deal for Idrissa Sylla.

After a dismal campaign last term, which eventually culminated in a 12th place finish, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be looking to restore belief and desire in the Rangers line-up, especially with the additions of Sylla, as well as Jordan Cousins, and Yeni Ngbakoto.

The Loftus Road faithful will have lofty expectations for their team this year, following a full summer of recruiting new players to sustain Hasselbaink’s promotion ambitions.

Here, FootballLeagueWorld writer George Harbey identifies THREE players that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink should have looked to bring into QPR before Wednesday's deadline, in order to galvanise a return back to the Premier League…..

Roli Pereira

The R's were very confident of completing a deal for the 19-year-old midfielder, however couldn't match the deal that Paris Saint Germain stated.

Pereira is yet to make a first team appearance for PSG, however made 14 appearances for Ligue 2 outfit Paris FC last term.

Pereira would have been an excellent addition on the left flank for Rangers.

Ravel Morrison

Morrison endured an excellent loan spell at Loftus Road in the 2013/14 campaign, where the attacking midfielder scooped up a Player of the Month award and won the Sky Bet Championship play-offs with the West London side.

However, the 23-year-old now finds himself playing his trade at Lazio, where he has only made three appearances since joining from West Ham in 2015.

Once again though, nobody in the second tier managed to pursue the signature of the powerful midfielder, despite being subject to serious interest from many clubs.

Hasselbaink could have lured the tenacious midfielder to Loftus Road for a second time, but has missed out on what could have been a fantastic coup.

Albert Adomah

Having made 130 appearances for Middlesbrough, Adomah's time at the Riverside Stadium came to an end after sealing a deadline day move to Aston Villa.

Adomah would have been an incredible acquisition, and would have completed a formidable trio of Yeni Ngbakoto, and Tjaronn Chery in midfield.

But the Ghanian joins a Villa side that have spent more than £47 million this summer, which is more than Real Madrid and AC Milan combined.

The Loftus Road faithful would have had high expectations of the transfer window this year, and even though Hasselbaink has made some shrewd signings, QPR fans would have thought that he could have done slightly better.
