Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Queen Park Rangers had a busy transfer window with notable arrivals and departures.

There has been a clear change of philosophy at Loftus Road under the new manager with three signings coming from clubs lower down the Football League.

Conor Washington joined from Peterborough, giving him the daunting responsibility of replacing Charlie Austin.

Hasselbaink also brought in Nasser Al Khayati from former club Burton Albion and goalkeeper Matt Ingram from League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.

January also saw Charlie Austin, Leroy Fer and Sandro leave the club as the upheaval at Loftus Road begins to get in full swing.

QPR have had a difficult return to the Football League since their relegation last season, so it is unsurprising to see many of the higher earners from the Premier League days departing West London.

FLW's Tom Percival has a look at THREE potential options QPR could have gone for on deadline day as Hasselbaink continues to shape his squad......

Martin Kelly

The Crystal Palace full-back would have added real quality to the QPR back line had they got a deal done on deadline day.

Kelly would arguably be a step-up from current first choice James Perch, and would have been a feasible target due to his lack of game time at Selhurst Park.

A temporary loan move across London could have worked for both parties before seeing what the future holds in the summer.

Romaine Sawyers

The dynamic Walsall midfielder would match the current Hasselbaink philosophy of signing hungry footballers from lower league clubs.

The former West Brom academy graduate has had an outstanding season for the Saddlers thus far this season as Walsall seek promotion to the Championship.

Hasselbaink knows League One well after his stint at Burton Albion and would be confident that Sawyers could make the step up.

Graham Dorrans

The Scottish midfielder brings with him supreme quality to the Championship after a memorable spell with West Brom a few years ago.

He has found first-team football hard to come by at Norwich City this season, so may have been willing once more to drop down to the Championship to get his career back on track.

Burnley and Middlesbrough have both been credited with interest in Dorrans, so it may have been feasible for QPR to bring him in to replace the outgoing Leroy Fer.
