Queens Park Rangers have endured a tough start to the 2016/17 Championship campaign.

A season that promised so much after defeating Leeds United 3-0 on opening day, has delivered very little thus far, as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men lie 16th in the Championship table, winning three times, drawing three times, and losing four times after 10 games played.

For a team that recruited so well in the summer, with the additions of Idrissa Sylla, Jordan Cousins, and Yeni Ngbakoto to name a few, the Loftus Road faithful will no doubt be very disappointed with their start to the season.

On Saturday, they face a Fulham side who are reasonably short on confidence, after failing to find a win in the league since late August, which came in the form of a 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

It will be yet another tough test for the R's though, as Fulham definitely possess the quality to be a real threat come the end of the Championship campaign.

QPR also have real quality in their side, and should be challenging at the top end of the table rather than the bottom this term.

That being said, in order to cement their promotion push, here FLW writer George Harbey identifies THREE players that Hasselbaink should let go in January...

Conor Washington

Washington arrived at Loftus Road in good stead, signing from Peterborough United.

The 24- year-old netted 27 times in 82 games for the Posh, however has endured a dreadful spell at QPR.

Only managing to find the net once in 23 games for the London club, which came against Swindon Town in the League Cup, Washington isn't proving his worth at Loftus Road at all, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink should look to move on the striker in January, and bring in another goalscorer who is proven at Championship level.

Nasser El Khayati

The Dutchman was influential for Burton Albion in their remarkable promotion winning campaign in 2015/16, however moved with Hasselbaink in February to Loftus Road.

Since then, a large majority of R's fans haven't really warmed to the 27-year-old, who has only scored once in 20 games.

The winger is criticised for his lack of end product, and should look to move on in January, as he is simply out of his depth in the second tier.

Sandro

Brought to the club by Harry Redknapp, the former Tottenham midfielder's time at Loftus Road is indefinitely almost up.

The Brazilian has failed to impress at his time with the R's, capped off with a loan spell at West Brom last term where he made 12 appearances.

With the likes of Ariel Borysiuk, Jordan Cousins and Karl Henry in front of the 27-year-old in the pecking order, a player of Sandro's calibre needs to move on and salvage his career elsewhere.
