Lingering just above the relegation zone, Norwich could be potentially back in the Championship after a single season.

Canaries boss Alex Neil may use the final months and the emergency loan window to manage his squad, and keep some of the senior players that have barely featured struggling to get first-team football happy.

The Canaries have recruited well since promotion but at the same time, it has left some players surplus to requirements and others simply not good enough at this moment in time to be playing in the Premier League.

Alex Neil will recognise that in a finely poised relegation battle, he needs to be able to trust any of his squad to have the right attitude, mentality and quality to come in at moment if an injury or suspension occurs.

If they aren't of use and could potentially disrupt the side, he may use the emergency transfer window to re-address the balance and use the emergency loan window as a tool of man management.

Players that are featured in this article include a new arrival, a supremely experienced but extremely frustrated individual and a player that has Alex Neil knows well but may not have the consistency to play in the Premier League yet.

Kyle Lafferty

The Northern Irish international has been a frustrated figure as he has only made three appearances for Norwich this season, two of which were in the Capital One Cup and the FA Cup.

It seems odd considering that he was a huge part of Northern Ireland's against the odds qualification to the European Championship, having scored seven goals sharing the same company as Wayne Rooney and Gareth Bale and yet domestically he is isolated.

Lafferty would be an ideal signing for any Championship side as he has the physicality needed to bully and battle against tough defenders, week in and week out and also has an eye for goal which could be different for a playoff spot or even automatic promotion.

There had been rumours in the winter transfer window that Lafferty would move to Leeds United, however, the move didn't materialise.

As this being the last opportunity for the striker to find regular first team football, he may look to move to keep him sharp and in his best form before the European Championships in the summer.

Ben Godfrey

Another potential player that could leave Norwich to join a Championship side over the last two months of the season is Ben Godfrey.

The highly rated starlet joined Norwich from York City in the winter transfer window for an undisclosed fee, and Godfrey signed a three-and-a-half year contract.

Although Godfrey is only 18 years old, he has featured a dozen times for York City before the move and at 6 ft 3", his physique and frame is one that could dominate games especially on the front foot, which would be an enticing addition to Championship sides that particularly feel that their midfield is lightweight.

Godfrey is well rounded as he enjoys a tackle as much as he enjoys scoring, and once his decision making improves with maturity then he will be even more of a bright prospect than first imagined.

Although Alex Neil signed the young midfielder with the idea of playing him in the developmental set up at Norwich, he may instead decide to loan him out at a considerably higher level than League 2 to see how he copes with the necessary step up.

Anthony Andreu

Norwich-City

The final player that could potentially leave the club on loan from Norwich City to a Championship side is Anthony Andreu,

Andreu had already gone out on loan to Rotherham United and impressed with two goals in eleven appearances from midfield, the then Rotherham manager Neil Readfearn wanted to extend his loan until the end of the season however Andreu himself turned down the extension

Instead, the Frenchman returned from his loan spell from Rotherham United, eager to fight for a place in the starting line up for the Canaries however Alex Neil may still feel that he is not really to make the step up to the Premier League after following the Scottish manager from Hamilton Academical.

The frenchman has been compared to Cesc Fabregas which is extremely high praise however when watching the elegant midfielder, the comparisons are there to be seen as Andreu is an excellent technical midfielder that enjoys to sit deep and pull the strings and has the passing range capable of doing that.

Andreu's technical ability is a joy to watch but in an unbalanced midfielder without the correct defensive cover, it can have a detrimental effect as he is defensively liable however I think the label 'luxury player' that some have described him as is unfair as his contribution at the right Championship side could be momumental. He just needs to be at an open expansive attacking side to suit his playing style.

Of the three, Andreu is the least likely to want to go back out on loan after vowing to fight for a spot at Norwich however Alex Neil might take that decision out of his hands, particularly with a relegation battle commencing.
