Mark Warburton has become Nottingham Forest's tenth manager in five years and has the task of keeping the Reds in the Sky Bet Championship, with them currently only two points away from the relegation zone.

The former Brentford and Rangers boss is a shrewd appointment by chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi, who has faced plenty of criticism in recent times after the collapse of a takeover by a US consortium.

But the Kuwaiti businessman has now appointed Warburton and his assistant David Weir as well as Frank McParland, who has worked with Warburton before, as the club's new Director of Football.

If the Reds are to stay up then the former Brentford boss will have the entire summer to build his side, with owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi already revealing that he will back the new boss with signings.

So who could Warburton bring to the City Ground in the summer?

Football League World writer Harry Webster takes a look at THREE players Mark Warburton genuinely must look to sign for Nottingham Forest this summer...

Wes Foderingham

The former Swindon Town goalkeeper has excelled at Rangers and he could be one player that Forest fans would welcome from Warburton's former side.

Youngster Jordan Smith has done well since first choice keeper Stephen Henderson suffered an injury that keeps him out until the end of the season, but Foderingham would be a solid signing for the Reds.

The 26-year-old knows the Football League well and if Warburton is after a first choice 'keeper then Foderingham could be the perfect fit.

Jota

If Forest were to sign the tricky winger then it could well be one of the signings of the summer.

Jota was the Man of the Match in Brentford's recent recent 2-3 win over Forest, and terrorised the the Reds' back four throughout.

Fawaz Al Hasawi would have to splash the cash if Warburton does want re-unite with the Spaniard, but the attacking threat that Jota possesses would certainly make him a worthwhile signing.

The East Midlands club lack a tricky and skilful winger who possesses this sort of threat and Jota would bring that to the side in abundance.

Sam Morsy

Forest lack an effective central midfielder who can break up the play and look to start attacks and Wigan Athletic midfielder Sam Morsy could be this player.

Morsy recently signed a new deal with the Latics but with his side looking like they could slip into League One, the 25-year-old may want to stay in the Championship.

The former Chesterfield man and Egypt international brings flair and energy into any midfield, shown at Barnsley and Wigan this season, and he could be the perfect man to play in Warburton's midfield next season.
