3 players Leeds United should have signed on transfer deadline day

As another January transfer window is done and dusted, there are plenty of talking points from Leeds United’s business perspective.

Leeds Head Coach, Steve Evans indicated that he wanted to bring in at least three players through last month’s window, and achieved that target by bringing in Liam Bridcutt, Toumani Diagouraga and Mustapha Carayol.

However their main struggles have come up front this season – bagging just 29 goals and heavily relying on Chris Wood for goals.

The club were hoping to use the money from Sam Byram’s sale to West Ham United to reinvest in the squad. Questions have now arisen by supporters at the club why the money was not spent by Steve Evans.

Without a shadow of doubt, the three new signings will improve the squad, but their priorities should have lied with adding some attacking options to bolster their lack of goal scoring threat.

The Yorkshire side currently occupy 14th place in the Championship and were hoping to sign some players to make a late dash for a play-off position.
