José Mourinho's Manchester United have a reputation of producing fine young talent.

Marcus Rashford is the latest young starlet to be produced, after given his chance by Mourinho's predecessor Louis van Gaal, as well as the likes of Timothy Fosu-Mensah and delving back into the archives, Danny Welbeck.

And Leeds United are another team who have inherited fine young talent in recent times.

Sky Bet Championship Young Player of the Year Lewis Cook has just departed to AFC Bournemouth, and the likes of Charlie Taylor and Alex Mowatt have excelled at Elland Road.

Here, Football League World writer George Harbey identifies THREE players Garry Monk should recruit from Manchester United that would help Leeds' push for promotion this term.....

James Wilson

After netting a brace against Hull City on his Premier League debut in May 2014, James Wilson's exciting career was them meant to kick off from there on in.

However after a string of games in the first team, he never really seemed to make the impact at Old Trafford as he would have wished.

This then led to a loan spell at Brighton and Hove Albion in which he scored 5 times in 25 appearances for the Seagulls, where they came agonisingly close to promotion.

Monk knows how to get the best out of young Premier League quality, having produced a reasonably young squad in his tenure at Swansea City.

With Mirco Antenucci departing Elland Road, and £3million man Chris Wood failing to make an impact at the club after signing last term, Wilson could be a perfect candidate to lead the line for Monk's men.

Having been deemed surplus to requirements by Mourinho, Wilson could be a key asset to the Whites.

With Van Gaal at the helm, every youth player felt like they were always going to get a chance in the first team, and this was no different for the 19-year old last term, having made 10 appearances due to Luke Shaw's absence.

The left-back could be a perfect replacement for young Leeds starlet Charlie Taylor, who looks set to move away from Elland Road for a high profile Premier League club despite Monk stating that the 22 year old will not be departing.

It would be very difficult to see Mourinho letting the young man leave Old Trafford, but if Leeds could land the player on loan, it would be a tremendous coup for Monk's men.

Tyler Blackett

In the 2014/15 campaign, defending was a major issue for the Red Devils, which led to the introduction of young centre half Tyler Blackett.

But, after lacklustre performances and several loan spells, one being at Celtic last term making just 3 appearances, Mourinho has opted not to take him on United's pre-season tour of China and has also deemed him surplus to requirements.

Still only 22, and with just 12 months left on his contract, he could be a shrewd purchase for the right club, and Leeds United would be wise to make a move even if they have not always got the best deal when doing business with their fierce rivals.

Monk could do with additional options in the centre of defence, and with the long-term future of Charlie Taylor remaining unclear Blackett could also act as a replacement with his versatility and capability to play left back.

So...What do you think Leeds fans? Are any of these players worthy of a first team place? Is Monk doing enough in the market to get Leeds back up the league? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
