Confidence is high at Elland Road with the situation in the boardroom looking calmer as Cellino's ownership seemingly looks securer.

Also the appointment of Garry Monk was very well received by fans as the former Swansea man has been tipped to manage England one day.

Cellino has backed Monk very well in the transfer market bringing in top talents like Robert Green, Marcus Antonsson and Oxford hotshot Kemar Roofe, who scored 26 goals in all competitions to help them win promotion.

Also, Monk has brought in some shrewd loan signings in the shape of Swansea duo Kyle Bartley and Matt Grimes, with the former strengthening the leaky defence.

Leeds are keen to keep their talented young core of players, with Lewis Cook sold to Bournemouth and Charlie Taylor linked with a host of Premier League clubs.

With a bit more depth in midfield and on the wings, they could challenge for top six next season.

Here are THREE Chelsea players Leeds United could make a move for......

Patrick Bamford

A problem for Leeds last season was a lack of goals with top scorer Chris Wood managing 13 goals and getting very little assistance. Souleymayne Doukara and Mirco Antenucci were inconsistent as well, but the addition of Marcus Antonsson and Kemar Roofe will be big helps.

But both are unproven in the Championship so Monk may see it as wise to make a move for Bamford who has a proven Championship record

. In the 2014/15 season he scored 17 goals, nearly winning Middlesbrough promotion but they fell in the play-off final but he still won Championship Player of the Year.

A host of Premier League sides wanted him last season but he flattered to deceive at Crystal Palace and Norwich.

With a breakthrough at Chelsea unlikely, a move to the Championship may be the best way to rebuild his career as he also had a good spell there with Derby.

It would be an excellent coup for Leeds, who need a 20-goal-a-season striker who is also versatile enough to play Number 10.

Lucas Piazon

Lucas Piazonm

The 22-year-old Brazilian is another player with a good record in the Championship that could benefit from regular first team football, which he won't get at Chelsea.

After an excellent spell in the Netherlands with Vitesse he spent last season at Reading, impressing fans with 3 goals in 18 games exciting with his flare and attacking play.

He can play behind the striker or on the wing and has represented Brazil at youth level.

Leeds have Stuart Dallas, Hadi Sacko and Alex Mowatt but Piazon has better control and vision and adds depth to the midfield.

He is very highly rated at Stamford Bridge and tipped by some for a Premier League loan move, so Leeds need to act fast.

Nathaniel Chalobah

Chalobah

The 21-year-old holding midfielder is one of the most talented players produced by the youth academy at Chelsea in a long time, and has had numerous loan moves to the Championship.

He had very successful loan spells with Reading and Middlesbrough plus game time with Burnley in the Premier League.

He even played for Napoli last season but didn't get much game time.

In fact in the last couple of seasons he has struggled for first team football and prospects like Ruben Loftus-Cheek have overtaken Chalobah in the pecking order so he needs some first team football at Leeds.

Leeds will be on the search for a holding midfielder after losing young sensation Lewis Cook too Bournemouth, and even though they may opt for Bridcutt, Chalobah has excellent potential.
