Derby County will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing midweek defeat to Stoke City when they welcome Swansea City to Pride Park on Saturday.

Goals from Sam Clucas and Tom Ince, either side of Harry Wilson's brilliant free-kick, earned Gary Rowett the bragging rights over his former club.

The result knocked Frank Lampard's side out of the top-six and into seventh place, with arch-rivals Nottingham Forest replacing them in the play-off places.

But, a win on Saturday could see them leap above them once again as they only trail on goal difference alone.

The loss on Wednesday night may not have been the most disappointing aspect of the result, however, as captain Curtis Davies was stretchered from the field with an Achilles injury that will keep him out of action well into the New Year.

So the hunt will now be on for a new centre-back to replace the talismanic figure.

Here are THREE options they could look to...

The Blackpool man has been a towering presence all season in an impressive backline and could be keen on a move to the Championship.

With his contract running down, he could well be available for a cut-price as well.

The Barnsley man proved last season that he is more than capable of playing in the Championship.

He has carried that form into the current season with the Tykes, playing 17 of their 19 league games so far this season.

At 23, he would be a very wise investment as well.

If Lampard is feeling a bit more ambitious then a move for the Swansea giant would be an excellent idea.

Van der Hoorn has been a crucial part of Graham Potter's solid backline, helping the Swans build one of the best defences in the league.

His contract also expires at the end of the season so a move in January could well be smart.
