Ipswich Town were not exactly busy during this month's transfer window and did not make any signings on deadline day.

They do have a good squad at Portman Road, and you have to say they do possess enough quality to achieve their goal of reaching the play-offs.

However, if they do not attain at least a play-off place there may be questions asked as to why they did not secure one or two more targets on transfer deadline day.

Ipswich regained a top six spot in midweek with a 2-1 victory over Reading at Portman Road, courtesy of a late goal from Brett Pitman.

They are just one point above Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City, with many other teams as far down as Wolves in 12th, eyeing a run that will see them challenge the top six.

Here are THREE players that Ipswich should have looked to sign on transfer deadline day.......

Charlie Adam

Stoke were willing to send Adam out on loan during the transfer window, and there was plenty of speculation regarding his destination.

Ipswich should have been interested in securing his services, as he clearly has the ability to excel in the Championship.

The Stoke City midfielder would have added a bit of extra bite to Mick McCarthy's midfield as well as providing a significant goal threat, with his free-kicks incredibly accurate.

Adam's experience could of been crucial in the final run-in.

Bradley Dack

Ipswich Town have been tracking Dack for some time along with several other Championship sides.

The Gillingham midfielder was subject to a £2million bid, from Championship side Bristol City, which was rejected.

Ipswich were keeping tabs on the situation and were thought to be considering making their own bid, however a move failed to materialise, and Mick McCarthy could live to rue it.

Dack's presence would of been a real statement of intent from the Championship club.

Adam Matthews

Sunderland had let it be know that Matthews would be allowed out on loan for the remainder of the season.

And Ipswich should have made a loan move on transfer deadline day.

The Championship side could decide to sign Matthews in on loan, when the emergency loan period opens for teams outside the top-flight.

His experience would have been key for Mick McCarthy and his side.

Ipswich Town fans have your say........Do you agree that Ipswich should of done more on deadline day? Would you be better off with these player? Who else should you of signed during the window? Leave your comments in the box below!
