Hull City and Steve Bruce have gone quietly about their business this season and have climbed to the summit of the league.

While all the talk has been about the battle between Middlesbrough and Derby County, and seemingly who can outspend who, Hull have simply kept their squad together and churned out positive results week in week out.

They are a solid unit, built on the foundations of many players with Premier League experience, and the added bonus of possessing a striker of international quality in Abel Hernandez.

However, with the financial muscle being flexed elsewhere, Steve Bruce may be best served to move in to the market himself as the window draws to a close. There is no shortage of funds at the KC, but finding the right player can sometimes be tough.

Here, we look at THREE players who Hull should look to snap up during the final week of the window......

Che Adams

The Sheffield United forward has had a great season so far when he has played, and at just 19-years-old, he seemingly has all the attributes needed to make it at the top level.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce will no doubt always keep an eye out at Bramall Lane due his past links with the club, and his purchase of Harry Maguire two season ago.

Adams has pace to burn and can take a chance in front of goal when it comes his way - he already has seven goals this season for the Blades.

United have a reputation of a bit of a selling club during transfer windows, and Bruce may well want to test the water with a bid for former Ilkeston Town man Adams.

Patrick Bamford

Patrick Bamford

Bamford looks to be out of favour at Chelsea yet again after seeing his loan move at Crystal Palace cut short, and a permanent move away from the Bridge is looking more and more likely.

Bamford knows the Championship, and knows how to find the net, as he proved during spells at Derby and Middlesbrough.

With Hull riding high at the top of the league, a move for Bamford would make perfect sense. With Abel Hernandez baring the weight of being the main goal threat, Bamford would take some of that away from the Uruguayan.

If the young Englishman wants to progress his career, then a move to Hull could be ideal.

Score goals in the Championship under a good manager, win promotion, gain your shot at the Premier League, and prove people wrong, may well be on Bamford's agenda.

Alex Pritchard

Pritchard was excellent during a loan spell with Brentford last season and was expected to challenge for a place in the Spurs line up this year.

However, a few injuries and the performance of the rest of the team around him has put paid to that, and a loan move may well suit him as he looks to rebuild match fitness.

The 22-year-old would add another dimension of creativity to Steve Bruce's men, and it could be an excellent move to link him up with former Spurs Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone.

Pritchard would contribute goals and assists in abundance, and would no doubt be out to prove to Mauricio Pochettino that he can deliver.
