Brighton & Hove Albion have had an excellent first half of the season, going unbeaten in their first 21 league outings to claim top spot in the Championship, before a poor run over Christmas and New Year dropped them out of the automatic promotion places.

The Seagulls' form has been in stark contrast to last season, which saw the side finish 20th in the table, just six points clear of relegation, and with just three more points than they already have on the board in this campaign.

The team's performances will naturally have their Championship rivals, as well as some Premier League sides, looking at Chris Hughton's squad in this transfer window.

Brighton have already brought players in this month, with Anthony Knockaert and Richie Towell completing moves to the Amex, while Liam Ridgewell has joined on a short-term loan from the MLS, so the side could afford to let a few players leave.

With a few weeks still remaining in this window, the club also has time to sell some players and use the money to strengthen the squad further as they push for promotion to the top flight.

Rohan Ince

The midfielder penned a new deal with Brighton in the summer amid speculation that Liverpool were interested in signing him, but the 23- year-old has been in and out of the squad this season, featuring 15 times for the Seagulls.

With the signing of Knockaert, as well as the likes of Beram Kayal and Dale Stephens already in the squad, Ince's playing time is likely to remain limited in the second half of the season.

The defensive midfielder hasn't been helped by picking up a couple of knocks earlier in the campaign, but there are plenty of other Championship sides that could use his skills set on a regular basis, so the club may consider listening to offers for Ince.

Danny Holla

The Dutch midfielder joined the club under previous manager Sami Hyypia in August 2014, and featured regularly during the former Liverpool captain's reign, but he's barely had a game since Hughton's appointment.

Since the end of January last year, the 28-year-old has featured just nine times for Brighton, with only one of his four appearances this season coming in the league.

Like Ince, Holla plays in a position where Brighton are well equipped, limiting his chances of first-team action, but an experienced defensive midfielder who hasn't got too many miles on the clock this season would certainly interest other sides in the Championship.

The former ADO Den Haag man, who joined Brighton on a free, still has 18 months left on his contract, and will be nearly 30 by the time his deal at the Amex is up, so it would suit both club and player if Holla could be sold in this window.

Elvis Manu

The Dutch-born Ghanaian winger was an exciting summer signing, with Brighton beating newly-promoted Premier League side Watford to the 22-year-old's signature, but he's failed to establish himself at the Amex.

Manu has featured just eight times off the bench in the Championship, with his only start for the club coming in the 1-0 defeat to Hull City in the FA Cup earlier this month.

Although he is a promising talent, a club chasing promotion to the Premier League can't afford to carry dead weight at this stage of the season, so if he's struggled to adapt to the English game, it may be time to move on.

Southampton were linked with the former Dutch youth international a couple of months ago, so there could be options for Brighton, but Manu's value will only fall if he's left on the bench for the rest of the season.
